Sharing The Love

Love, Sharing The Love

Why do I want to share the love?

The beginning of this year has been brutal for me…technology-wise. My laptop crashed –and I’m pretty sure my laptop gave me a virus.

Then I set up a new router system that made things even worse after-the-fact.

Furthermore, I think I got PTSD after all of the madness of trying to run a business at less than 100%. So, where is the “love” in all this?

Well, I reflected on a lot of progress I HAVE made over the years. Henceforth, I’m happy to share these productivity gems of love with you today.

FYI: I will be sharing links to apps, for which I have NO affiliation with.

My affiliate links are on my side-panel and if you so choose to click on any, you will be re-directed to another website. If you do purchase from any of them, it will be of no additional cost to you but will credit my account. And in doing so, I might be able to afford a much-needed espresso!

Google Chrome

Love, Sharing the Love, Sync, ChromeI am not sure if you utilize this platform much, but for me, it is a must. However, if you do and you use extensions, make sure you turn on your sync option (see picture).

Before “The Crash”, I had created several chrome accounts for my clients, including smart-lock and extensions. They were customized to each account.

And. I. Did. Not. Turn. Sync. On.

What happened? A whole lot of detailed accounts were lost because of this lack of forethought. Consequently, I had to rebuild almost every account. I did not love this at all…

Which brings me to some of the no-cost (I will not use the FR-word, lest I be flagged as spam…) apps and extensions I wish to share with you. Yes, this is the love!

If you are working from home for the first time these may be quite valuable.

Love, Sharing the LoveExtensions… of Love – And some apps too.

I mainly use the extensions for Google Chrome, but I am sure you can find extensions for Microsoft Edge as well.

Mailchimp – Newsletter/Email software to create and manage mailing lists, newsletters, automated marketing campaigns and more. Even better, their basic plan is well…you know.

Evernote – Is a brilliant note-taking application that can do more than you can imagine. Their templates are clean as well. Additionally, they offer a web-clipper extension so you can clip and save an online recipe, product, or blog post directly to your notebook.  You can also tag your clips.

Evernote’s basic plan is FR33 (wink wink).

Auto Text Expander – A no-cost extension for those of us who type the same old blurbs daily. You just create a shortcut and blurb for example:

ShortcutBlurb
;newclientWelcome! We have some onboarding items for you to review…

Save, then use the shortcut when needed.

Are you feeling the love? Well, there’s more!

Canva – drag-and-drop feature and professional layouts to design consistently stunning graphics. Prices start at Zero.

PDFescape – No Cost PDF Editor and Form-Filler

iLovePDF – Merge, split, compress, convert, rotate, unlock and watermark PDFs with just a few clicks at Zero Cost!

Bonus Tip:

If you use Mailchimp (or I am sure any other email/newsletter software), you can add a link to have your audience reply in an email directly from your newsletter. Even better, you can fill out the reply for them. This is excellent for “sign-me-up” now campaigns. Here’s a quick video on how to do this:

I hope you found this post useful for your business needs. Or perhaps you have your own tips you would “love” to share.  If so, please comment.
